Former Minister Issawi Freij to Challenge Incumbent Shino Zohar in Israeli Football Association Elections

The Israeli Football Association's board has unanimously set the official date for the upcoming elections on December 8, 2026. Freij will lead the list, with former deputy and acting mayor of Ramat Gan, Liad Ilani, positioned second. Freij stated that such reforms are essential for Israel to finally qualify for the World Cup and European Championships.
