Eden Hasson Hangs Lock on Jerusalem’s 'Bridge of Hope' with Wish for Universal Love

Israeli singer Eden Hasson participated in the central installation of the 50th annual "Hutzot HaYotzer" festival in Jerusalem by hanging a lock on the "Bridge of Hope" and writing a wish. Before his performance on Thursday evening, Hasson wrote on a ribbon, "I hope my music will always connect people and that there will be unconditional love," then attached the lock to the bridge. The installation invites participants to write wishes and secure them with locks as symbols of hope and unity.

Hasson joined a series of artists who contributed to the project throughout the festival. Earlier in the week, Omri and Shelly Glickman of the band HaTikva 6, along with the festival's artistic director Ronen Najjar, wrote the wish "Good days for a wonderful people" and hung it on the bridge. Singer Ben Tzur also took part, inscribing "unconditional love" on his lock and explaining that such love is what will bring redemption.

Other notable participants included Idan Raichel, who wished "May it be good here," and at the festival's opening night, Ishay Ribo and Amir Dadon left messages promoting "love, peace, and unity among us." The "Bridge of Hope" installation serves as a symbolic space for artists and attendees to express aspirations for harmony and connection through music and shared wishes.
