UK Government Investigates Haredi Donors Funding West Bank Yeshivas

The British government has launched investigations into several British donors who contributed funds to Haredi yeshivas operating beyond the Green Line, according to a report by Ari Kalman on i24NEWS. This move follows the UK's recognition of a Palestinian state and its prohibition on supporting Israeli settlements. Some donors have already been notified about the investigations against them. In response, the Association of Yeshivas and Seminaries for Overseas Students urgently appealed to Israeli ministers Itamar Ben-Gvir, Bezalel Smotrich, and Simcha Rothman to intervene immediately to prevent the expansion of these probes. The association warned that a broader investigation could severely damage fundraising efforts and the financial support of the yeshivas.
