Reality Star Chen Kraunik Rejects Trump Peace Plan, Calls for Tough Stance on Gaza

Chen Kraunik, a reality TV personality and son of a fallen Israeli officer, spoke out strongly against the Trump peace plan for Gaza during a recent interview on News 14. Since losing his father in the October 7 attack, Kraunik's worldview has shifted dramatically. He returned to live in Kibbutz Be'eri, near Gaza, and criticized the idea of making peace with Hamas, calling it unrealistic and dangerous. "Before we declare peace with a terrorist organization, did anyone ask the Gazans if they want peace with us? I’m ready to push everyone into the sea and build villas on the shore," he said.

Kraunik argued that those seeking peace with Gaza should take responsibility for the population by providing them with electricity, water, and food, and suggested they should relocate to their own countries. He emphasized that Israelis have suffered for years from the threat posed by Gaza, culminating in the deadly October 7 attack that changed public opinion. "We paid the heaviest price," he said.

While Kraunik has returned to Be'eri, his mother and sister have not, and he noted that about 90% of residents plan to return only if no agreements are made with Hamas. He expressed deep distrust of Hamas, accusing them of repeatedly proving their intent to destroy Israel and seize its land. Kraunik called for Israel to act independently without relying on external actors like former U.S. President Trump, stating, "We cannot let someone else manage us to such a degree. It’s time to move from words to actions. It’s impossible to make peace with them."

His comments come amid ongoing debates about the future of the Gaza Strip and Israeli security, with bereaved families demanding Prime Minister Netanyahu halt the peace council’s initiatives. Kraunik’s stance reflects a broader shift in Israeli public sentiment following the October 7 attacks.
