Iran Says It Will Keep Charging for Strait of Hormuz Services, Freezing Funds Is Part of Deal

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei told the Iranian news agency Fars that Iran will continue to charge for services provided in the Strait of Hormuz. He said the unfreezing of Iran’s frozen assets is an inseparable part of any agreement.

Baghaei also said that the presence of foreign bases and military forces in the region must end. The remarks were presented as Iran’s position on the terms it expects in the broader deal.
