The article emphasized that despite Western narratives suggesting Iran is restrained in the face of potential US military strikes, Tehran possesses significant destructive capabilities and options for retaliation. It criticized Western and some internal media for spreading claims of an imminent US-Israeli attack on Iranian energy infrastructure, describing these as attempts to portray Iran as vulnerable and unable to respond effectively.

The article cited historical precedent from the 40-day conflict when Iranian retaliation followed attacks on the South Pars gas field, including a strike on Qatar’s major gas refinery, which led then-President Trump to publicly apologize to Iran.
