Iran Announces Funeral Schedule for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
Iranian state media has published the funeral timetable for former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The ceremonies will begin on July 4 and 5 with farewell events at the Imam Khomeini prayer hall in Tehran.
A funeral procession is scheduled in Tehran on July 6, followed by another in Qom on July 7. The final procession will take place in Mashhad on July 9.
According to the report, Khamenei will be buried at the end of the Mashhad ceremony in the shrine of Imam Reza. No further details were provided about the proceedings.
