IDF Changes Recruitment Dates for Pre-Military Academy Students at Last Minute
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has altered the recruitment schedule for pre-military academy students (Bnei Shimon) shortly before the planned dates. Instead of a single, centralized recruitment day for all recruits followed by a return home until their unit's general enlistment date, recruits will now report on different days according to their assigned units and proceed directly to their placements.
The revised schedule, communicated to recruits last weekend, specifies the following dates: August 4 for Armor, Engineering, and Logistics; August 5 for the Givati Brigade; August 9 for Nahal and Kfir Brigades; and August 10 for the Golani Brigade. This change comes after recruits had prepared for a unified recruitment day on August 4, which was previously announced as the general reporting date for all pre-military academy students.
