Weekly Torah Portion Inspires Families to Practice Daily Gratitude as 'Treasure Hunters'
The weekly Torah portion, "Eikev," teaches that every good deed leaves a lasting impact, much like footprints in the sand. It emphasizes the importance of gratitude, especially when enjoying prosperity and comfort, reminding the Israelites not to forget God upon entering the Promised Land.
To bring this lesson into daily life, Avia Haranoy offers a special weekly task for children and families: become "treasure hunters" by actively seeking moments of gratitude each day. The practice involves identifying three small things each day to be thankful for, likened to collecting gold coins for the soul rather than material wealth.
This exercise encourages mindfulness and appreciation of the small blessings around us. Additionally, Avia and Shlomi are launching a summer camp called the "Dream Camp," turning the season into an adventure inspired by these values. The segment was written and presented by Avia Haranoy, directed by Avi Ludmir, produced by Asher Rot, edited by David Vehava, and designed by Yola Yankelvich.
