U.S. Report Says Justice Department Clears Paramount's Warner Bros. Discovery Bid
Politico reported that the U.S. Justice Department has approved Paramount's acquisition of Warner Bros. in a deal valued at $110 billion.
If the transaction goes through, the combined company would bring together CNN, CBS, HBO and Nickelodeon under one roof, along with major franchises including Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, the DC comic universe and Mission: Impossible.
The report did not say when the deal might close or whether any further approvals are still needed. It said the clearance came from the Justice Department in the United States.
