Moldovan Fighter Maximus Bezanuta Caught Stealing at Tel Aviv's Carmel Market

Maximus Bezanuta, a Moldovan fighter who recently competed in an event featuring the Gordon brothers in Tel Aviv, was caught stealing from local shops at the Carmel Market. Bezanuta came to Israel to participate in the Gordon brothers' fight night, which attracted 11,000 spectators at Menora Mivtachim Arena. He lost by judges' decision to Ruach Hashem Gordon in the main event. Prior to the fight, Bezanuta took advantage of a visit to a Judaica shop in the market to steal merchandise worth several hundred shekels. The shop owner, Sharon, an immigrant from Iran and widow with two sons serving in the military reserves, expressed her distress, saying she works hard daily and urged the video of the theft be shared widely to raise awareness. During the fight night, Ruach Hashem Gordon defeated Brazilian John Lineker, a well-known former UFC fighter, in a tough three-round match, improving his record to 13-0. His brother, Kibadi Gordon, also secured a quick knockout victory over Mexican José Alberto Quiñones. Bezanuta's theft incident cast a shadow over the event, which otherwise highlighted the Gordon brothers' dominance in the ring.
