Jahala Band Releases New Song Celebrating Music as a Prayer of the Heart
The Israeli band Jahala has released a new single titled "New Song," which portrays music as an expression of heartfelt prayer. The song, written and composed by the band members, is accompanied by a music video filmed in Tekoa, a settlement in the West Bank. The band members describe music as a constant presence in their lives, accompanying them through joy and pain, and serving as a form of prayer whether during performances, travels, or playing together in the desert.
The music video, directed and filmed by Yanai Yaakov Line, captures moments of playing and praying from the band’s daily life in Tekoa. The band concludes their message with a prayer for a future song of hope to come soon. The performers on the track include Eliran Mazuz on guitars and vocals, Hanani Zait Banai and Gal Hever Od on vocals and canon, Amit Sharon on percussion, drums, and vocals, and Eran Klein, who also handled production, recording, piano, guitar, mixing, and mastering. David Saban contributed to the studio editing of the video.
