New iPhone App Detects Nearby Smart Glasses to Address Privacy Concerns

Growing concerns over smart glasses and hidden cameras have led to the creation of a new iPhone app called Antizuck. Developed by Albert Pariente Cohen, the app scans Bluetooth signals to identify smart devices in the vicinity, including Meta glasses, Snap glasses, Meta Quest helmets, and RayNeo glasses. Antizuck is available for a one-time fee of $2.99 and does not require user registration or data transmission outside the device.

Initial tests showed the app could detect a Quest 3 headset even in sleep mode, but it had more difficulty identifying Meta glasses, which were mainly detected when powered on, charging, or pairing. While the app can alert users to the presence of smart glasses nearby, it cannot determine if recording or filming is actually taking place. Additionally, it cannot warn about every person passing by wearing smart glasses.
