Police drone operation nets undocumented workers in Galilee farm raid

Border Police Coastal District Yishuv Unit fighters and Coastal District police raided agricultural land near Ein Hamifratz in the Mateh Asher Regional Council yesterday after intelligence indicated the illegal employment of undocumented workers. The operation was launched following advance information from the Coastal District Border Police Central Unit.

During the covert sweep, the force surrounded the farm area and used drones and other technological means to locate the suspects while they were working. After gathering evidence and confirming the suspicions on site, the officers gave the signal and stormed the compound using police off-road vehicles.

When the arrests began, several suspects tried to flee, but they were caught after a short chase directed from the air by the drones. In total, the operation led to the detention of four undocumented workers and three suspects accused of housing and employing them.

Police also seized a truck and a jeep at the scene, which are suspected of having been used by the workers and the people who employed them. All of the detainees were taken to Acre police station for further investigation.
