Matisse Thybulle Aims to Learn From NBA Star Deni Avdija This Offseason

Matisse Thybulle, a promising 21-year-old forward for the Chicago Bulls, expressed his desire to train with Washington Wizards forward Deni Avdija during the offseason. Thybulle, who averaged 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game last season, revealed this in an interview on the "Ball In The Family" podcast hosted by Lonzo and LiAngelo Ball. When asked which player he wanted to work with, Thybulle named Avdija, emphasizing that he wants to learn how to improve his game by attacking the basket more and reducing his reliance on three-point shots.

Thybulle explained that he observed Avdija training in Las Vegas recently and admires his ability to lower his shoulders and drive to the rim. While he also respects Franz Wagner and Kevin Durant, Avdija is his top choice for training. Earlier this year, during the NBA All-Star weekend, Thybulle told basketball journalist Itam Abramovich from Hoops that Avdija is a role model for him and that he tries to emulate his playing style.

Thybulle's comments highlight his commitment to developing his skills by learning from fellow young talents in the league, particularly Avdija, who has become an influential figure for him on and off the court.
