Dollar Drop Reaches Consumers in Israel’s Appliance Market
While Israelis are still waiting to see the weaker dollar reflected in food, fashion and cars, the home appliance sector is already showing sharp price cuts. In a report published June 11, 2026, retailers said prices of items including iPhones, air conditioners, headphones, ovens, vacuums and televisions have fallen substantially, in some cases by tens of percent, as demand softens and competition intensifies.
Victory marketing VP Gal Margalit said a Dreame robotic vacuum fell by NIS 600, Samsung TVs dropped by about NIS 200 per unit, and iPhone prices declined 15% to 20%. At Machsanei Hashmal, Liron Katz said imports rose from 1,000 containers to 3,000 thanks to the lower exchange rate, with part of the savings passed on to shoppers. Ilan Ben Arush of Mister Electric said consumers are postponing purchases, making price the main tool for attracting customers.
Data from price-comparison site Zap showed sharp drops in headphones, smart vacuums, mixers, ovens and air conditioners, but also increases in microwaves, fans, dryers and dishwashers. Experts stressed that not all currency savings reach buyers, and that higher operating and shipping costs also affect final pricing. The next question, they said, is whether competition will deepen the discounts or whether this is only a one-time drop.
