Israeli Influencer Achva Sitbon Returns From Barcelona to Vote in Upcoming Knesset Elections

Achva Sitbon, known from the reality show "Married at First Sight" and a social media content creator, will return to Israel from Barcelona to vote in the 26th Knesset elections on October 27. Sitbon has lived in Barcelona with her husband Yonatan Ronen and their children for the past eight years, maintaining a lifestyle between Israel and Spain. She announced on Instagram to her 87,000 followers that she purchased a plane ticket specifically to exercise her voting rights and encouraged other Israelis living abroad to do the same.

Despite some criticism from followers who argued that one must reside in Israel to influence its affairs, Sitbon responded that she has impacted Israeli society for eight years without living there. She emphasized her connection to her community and contributions through taxes, stating, "Enough with the outdated thinking that to be Israeli you must live in Israel." Sitbon's decision highlights the engagement of the Israeli diaspora in national politics.

She will be accompanied by her husband and children during her visit. The upcoming elections are scheduled for October 27, marking a significant moment for Israelis both at home and abroad to participate in shaping the country's future.
