Hapoel Tel Aviv Identifies Key Squad Reinforcements After Toto Cup Win

Hapoel Tel Aviv secured a spot in the Toto Cup semifinals by defeating Beitar Jerusalem in a penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw on July 25. Goalkeeper Asaf Tzur was the hero, saving three penalties and recovering well after conceding the first goal. Tzur credited goalkeeper coach Genia Doniev for his performance, receiving praise from teammates and staff. Substitute Daniel Dappa, who scored the dramatic equalizer, also earned commendations, potentially boosting his standing in the team.

Despite the victory, Hapoel Tel Aviv's overall performance was underwhelming, with most players performing below expectations and goals coming mainly from set pieces. A significant moment was the substitution of senior left-back Doron Leidner, who started poorly and was replaced by younger Ofer Galbard, whose mistake led to a penalty.
