55% of respondents in a News 14 poll said MK Tally Gotliv should not be granted immunity from prosecution in the case centered on revealing the name and activities of Shikma Bressler’s husband. 41% support granting immunity, and 4% said they have no opinion. The figures come against the backdrop of the heated discussion in the Knesset Committee this week on her case.
At the center of the poll published Thursday evening on News 14 was the question of parliamentary immunity for MK Tally Gotliv, in light of the indictment against her for revealing the name and Shin Bet activities of Shikma Bressler’s husband. The data show that most of the public, about 55%, opposes granting the MK immunity in this case. On the other hand, 41% of respondents believe she should be granted immunity, and 4% said they have no opinion on the matter.
Earlier this week, MK Gotliv sharply and forcefully criticized the attorney general, Gali Baharav-Miara, during a heated discussion in the Knesset Committee. The discussion concerned Gotliv’s request to be granted immunity from criminal prosecution, following the indictment filed against her for publishing classified information and violating the Shin Bet law in the case involving Shikma Bressler’s husband. Gotliv accused the attorney general of deliberately harming national security, spreading hatred, and delaying government activity from meeting to meeting.
The poll was conducted by NEXT DATA, with the participation of 771 adults from the general population, and was carried out today, June 11, 2026. Data analysis: Shlomo Filber.
