Trump Teleprompter Operator Profits Over $100K Betting on President’s Speeches
Gabriel Perez, a technical assistant operating former U.S. President Donald Trump's teleprompter since 2016, is under investigation for using insider information about Trump's speeches to place bets on the Kalshi platform. According to ABC News sources, Perez wagered on specific words and phrases Trump would say, earning over $100,000 in profits. The probe began after Kalshi reported unusual betting activity. The White House confirmed that Perez is fully cooperating with federal investigators. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is currently negotiating with Perez to resolve the allegations. Perez has admitted to the misconduct.
