Israeli Parliamentary Advisors Secure Improved Employment Benefits After Negotiations

The Parliamentary Advisors Committee announced that following extended negotiations with the Knesset administration, several agreements were reached to enhance the employment conditions of parliamentary advisors. Key improvements include raising the hotel subsidy ceiling from 400 to 550 shekels per night, providing free night allowances, and ensuring proper meal arrangements during long plenary sessions.

Regarding the food allowance component (known as "ashl"), the Knesset accounting department will conduct a thorough review, with the issue scheduled for discussion in a public committee by September 2. This committee will include representatives from the Advisors Committee.

The committee credited these achievements to a prolonged period of dedicated work, meetings, and insistence on advisors' rights. They also expressed gratitude to Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, Knesset Director-General Chico Edri, Coalition Chairman Ofir Katz, Otzma Yehudit faction leader Tzvika Fogel, Shas faction leader Yinon Azoulay, MK Merav Michaeli, MK Hamed Amar, and other contributors who supported the initiative. The committee pledged to continue advocating for parliamentary advisors' rights and to keep members informed of further developments.
