MK Michel Buskila Appointed Deputy Foreign Minister Following Sharren Haskel's Resignation
Following the resignation of Sharren Haskel from the Knesset due to the approval of exemptions for ultra-Orthodox draft dodgers, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar has decided to appoint MK Michel Buskila as his deputy. Buskila currently serves as a member of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, chairs its subcommittee on foreign policy and public diplomacy, and is a member of the intelligence subcommittee. He will now also take on the role of Deputy Foreign Minister. This appointment will be submitted for government approval via a telephone vote and is set to take effect tomorrow evening, 48 hours after Haskel's resignation.
