Israel's Housing Prices Continue to Decline in Early 2026, Statistics Bureau Reports
The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) in Israel reported a 1% decrease in housing prices during April-May 2026 compared to the preceding two months, March-April. This decline includes both new and second-hand homes, adjusted for quality changes. On an annual basis, comparing April-May 2026 to the same period in 2025, housing prices fell by 2%. The CBS highlighted that this marks one of the few annual price drops in the past decade, following similar declines in 2018 and the latter half of 2023. These figures indicate a continuing downward trend in the Israeli housing market for the early part of 2026.
