Jerusalem Community Representatives Gather to Prepare for 'Between the Times' Activities
Around 100 community representatives from across Jerusalem convened for a central preparatory conference ahead of the 'Between the Times' activities organized by Agudat Yisrael Jerusalem. The meeting focused on presenting the activity schedule for the upcoming period, assigning responsibilities among the representatives, and outlining operational methods for the fieldwork phase.
Key figures at the event included Meir Porush, chairman of the movement and Knesset member, Deputy Mayor Tzachi Barim, and Israel Frenkel, head of the office. Porush praised the representatives’ role as vital connectors between the public and the office, emphasizing their understanding of community needs and their contribution to providing real support to families. He described the ongoing work as a "revolution" visible in synagogues.
Deputy Mayor Barim expressed gratitude to his office team and the community representatives for their year-round efforts, highlighting their intimate knowledge of families and their role as communication channels between the public and municipal offices. He credited their joint work with enabling effective response to residents’ requests.
Israel Frenkel detailed the practical work plan for the 'Between the Times' period, reviewed coordination mechanisms with the representatives, and introduced planned activities. The conference concluded with participants equipped with operational plans to launch the 'Between the Times' program, which will again offer a variety of activities and initiatives for families throughout Jerusalem.
