Thousands of Beitar Jerusalem Fans Rally at Season Opener Training Session

Thousands of Beitar Jerusalem supporters gathered on Tuesday at the club's opening training session in Beit Vagan, ahead of the new Israeli Premier League season. Fans enthusiastically sang, lit flares, and cheered on the players led by coach Almog Cohen. The club recently announced it sold all 20,000 season tickets for 2026/27, setting a new record for Beitar Jerusalem. The Teddy Stadium, their home ground, holds 31,000 seats, with about 3,000 reserved for visiting fans. Due to the Maccabiah Games, Beitar Jerusalem will start the upcoming season playing at Bloomfield Stadium in Jaffa. Last season, Beitar Jerusalem competed closely for the championship with Hapoel Be'er Sheva, leading the table at times including during the playoffs, but ultimately finished second behind Hapoel Be'er Sheva, who clinched the title one round before the season ended.
