In early June, Franco launched a new TikTok account, asserting it was his official profile and not an AI creation. He posted a series of videos expressing distress, alleging he was being followed and monitored, and fearing he might "disappear." Franco insisted he was not fabricating a story or seeking attention, stating, "I'm not crazy. This is real."

Initially, many speculated that Franco's behavior was a marketing stunt for an upcoming film. However, mid-June, he revealed a different narrative: he claimed to have seen an alien near his home and promised to share evidence. He counted down to July 13, alleging that unknown parties tried to hack his account to prevent him from releasing the footage. Franco said, "They don't want me to publish what I saw, but I will."

On the promised date, Franco posted a black-and-white video showing a figure resembling an alien moving outside his house and approaching the windows. He expressed a sense of duty to expose the footage, citing attempts to silence him. The online response was largely skeptical, with many viewers dismissing the video as fake or a clever promotional campaign. Some commenters joked about the delay and questioned the video's authenticity.

Franco did not provide further explanations but promised more footage, claiming it would be "much crazier." Additionally, some of his videos require paid subscriptions to view. Despite his reduced presence in major projects since the allegations, Franco is slated to appear in two upcoming films.
