Gil and Ziv Berman Surprise Bar Brimer During Rehearsals on Dancing with the Stars
On Sunday evening's episode of "Dancing with the Stars," twins Gil and Ziv Berman, who were held captive by Hamas for 738 days before their recent release, surprised their close friend, actor and model Bar Brimer, during rehearsals. Brimer, participating in the current season alongside dancer Sneh Sokol, was unaware of the planned surprise. The emotional moment was captured in a preview video showing the twins entering the rehearsal room and embracing Brimer and Sokol.
Brimer recalled the shock of learning about the twins' kidnapping, saying, "You suddenly discover that two people close to you are kidnapped." Throughout their captivity, he maintained contact with the Berman family and supported them. The twins described their release, recalling how they were suddenly told to prepare and board a plane in IDF uniforms after nearly two years in captivity.
Brimer expressed his overwhelming emotions watching their release on television, describing the moment as both heartbreaking and joyous. He told the twins, "You were the last to be released, right?" and celebrated their freedom, saying, "We won. You really won." He also joked with them, emphasizing the surreal nature of their ordeal and their return to normal life.
Gil and Ziv Berman, aged 26, were abducted from their home in the Gaza village on October 7. Since their release, they have been undergoing rehabilitation and reintegration into everyday life. Recently, they attended a pre-premiere of Festigal, where they had performed as dancers for five years before their abduction. Their surprise visit to "Dancing with the Stars" marks another step in their journey back to normalcy and was a deeply moving moment for all involved.
