Chinese Dental Clinic Closes After Forcibly Extracting 12 Teeth and Implanting 10 in One Visit

A 63-year-old man from northwest China with serious health conditions including heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure underwent an aggressive dental procedure involving the extraction of all 12 remaining teeth and the implantation of 10 dental implants during a single visit. The patient was lured to the clinic through aggressive advertising and free transportation. Following the treatment, approximately 18,800 yuan (about 2,600 USD) was withdrawn from his bank accounts and digital wallets, leaving him with an additional debt of 6,200 yuan. His son found him with a bloodied mouth and only 30 yuan left for the trip home.

The family filed complaints citing severe treatment deficiencies, including missing medical documentation and an incorrect patient record listing him as female. Authorities investigated and ordered the clinic to refund the treatment costs and shut down temporarily to address the violations. Experts emphasized that extra caution is necessary when performing multiple tooth extractions and implants on patients with underlying conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.
