IDF Clarifies Early Phone Alert in Bnei Brak Caused by Cellular Network Glitch
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) clarified that the early warning message sent to mobile phones in Bnei Brak was caused by a technical malfunction within a cellular company. The issue arose during maintenance and infrastructure upgrades carried out by one of the cellular providers, which inadvertently released several old messages that had been stuck in the system. As a result, a pre-alert notification was broadcast to mobile phones in the area. The IDF emphasized that the alert was not related to any security incident but was purely a technical error linked to the cellular network provider's operations.
