Israeli Music Duo Karakukli Sisters Celebrate Engagement and New EP Release
Liron Karakukli, the elder sister and half of the Israeli musical duo Karakukli, recently got engaged to her partner Amit Rozen, a high-tech professional, after several challenging relationships. The couple met in Rome about a year and a half ago through mutual friends and quickly developed a strong bond that differed from Liron's previous music-centered relationships. Amit proposed during a surprise weekend trip in southern Israel, marking a joyful milestone for Liron and her sister Tali, who had been waiting for Liron to find happiness before her own wedding.
The Karakukli sisters, Liron (34) and Tali, grew up in Hod Hasharon with a musical upbringing led by their mother, a pianist and music teacher. They began their joint music career in 2013 on the Israeli "X Factor," eventually becoming recognized pop artists with hits like "Nine Souls," "Butterflies," and "All the Same." Recently, they released a new EP titled "Pisces," which they wrote and composed themselves. One track, "Pablo Escobar," featuring rapper Liad Meir, gained significant popularity on TikTok and Israeli radio playlists.
Despite the challenges of the Israeli music industry and the impact of ongoing regional conflicts, the sisters have built a dedicated fan base and diversified their income through social media projects and collaborations with fashion brands such as Pandora, Plan B, and Victoria's Secret. They also engage in community work, including teaching music in kindergartens after the October 7 events.
The sisters emphasize their strong personal and professional bond, having learned to manage disagreements maturely. Their fashion style is an important part of their public image, with each sister expressing her unique taste while collaborating on stylized outfits that reflect their music themes. They continue to balance their music careers, social media influence, and personal lives, with plans to enjoy Liron's upcoming wedding and possibly start families in the future.
