Portland Trail Blazers Sign Mika Potter to Boost Roster Depth
The Portland Trail Blazers have announced the signing of Mika Potter, a 28-year-old forward standing 2.06 meters tall, to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming NBA season. Potter, who previously played for the Indiana Pacers, appeared in 47 games last season, averaging 9.7 points and 5 rebounds per game. He demonstrated notable shooting ability, hitting over 42% of his three-point attempts on an average of 3.6 shots per game, all while playing 19.3 minutes per contest.
This acquisition follows Portland's recent contract extension with Robert Williams and a major trade that brought Ja Morant to the team. Potter, who went undrafted in 2021, began his NBA career with the Detroit Pistons at age 23 during the 2021/22 season and later spent time with the Utah Jazz until the 2024/25 season. After a breakout year with the Pacers, he entered free agency and now joins Portland, marking his fourth NBA team.
