Former Israeli PM Naftali Bennett Meets Jared Kushner at Exclusive Sun Valley Summit
Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett attended the prestigious and secretive Sun Valley conference in Idaho on Thursday, an elite annual gathering of top figures from business, technology, media, and politics. Bennett was the only Israeli invited this year. During a closed-door session, he met with Jared Kushner, former senior advisor and son-in-law to ex-US President Donald Trump, and Yousef Al Otaiba, the UAE ambassador to the United States. The discussion took place months after Israel assisted the UAE by deploying Iron Dome missile defense systems and operational teams amid Iranian missile, rocket, and drone attacks.
Later in the day, Pennsylvania Senators Dave McCormick (Republican) and John Fetterman (Democrat) also participated in the joint discussion. The conference featured prominent global business and tech leaders including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, OpenAI founder Sam Altman, and Anthropic CEO, among others. Dina Powell McCormick, a senior Meta executive and wife of Senator McCormick, was also present.
Organized annually by investment firm Allen & Company, the Sun Valley conference is known for its exclusivity and confidentiality, with participants engaging in private talks often leading to major deals and diplomatic initiatives behind the scenes.
