Iran Launches Limited Missile Strikes on Neighboring States Amid US Attacks

In response to recent US airstrikes on over 90 military targets across Iran, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards have launched missile and drone attacks targeting several neighboring Arab countries, including Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Iraq. The Iranian response has been relatively limited compared to the extensive US operations, which targeted air defense systems, coastal surveillance, missile storage sites, naval capabilities, and military logistics along Iran's coast.

Specifically, Iran fired eight to ten ballistic missiles at Jordan, a ballistic missile, a cruise missile, and ten drones at Kuwait, and conducted at least two attacks on Bahrain. One drone was launched toward Iraq, while the number of strikes on Qatar was not officially disclosed. The US strikes reportedly included an attack on a strategic corridor bridge linking Iran to China and Russia. Iranian health officials reported 14 deaths and 78 injuries from the US attacks across five provinces.

In Israel, senior officials including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Isaac Herzog, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir signaled readiness for further conflict with Iran. Netanyahu emphasized Israel's air superiority and warned that without their timely actions, Iran would have acquired nuclear weapons aimed at Israel. He also hinted at concerns over Turkey's rearmament and stressed the importance of maintaining Israel's military edge. Defense Minister Gallant stated that the IDF is prepared for a third round of operations against Iran, promising even stronger responses if necessary.

The escalating tensions highlight the volatile security environment in the Middle East, with Iran retaliating against US strikes through proxy attacks on neighboring states, while Israel prepares for potential renewed conflict with Tehran.
