Netanyahu Highlights Ongoing Security Challenges and Unveils Local Arms Industry Plan

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the nation during the 192nd Wings Ceremony, emphasizing that the security challenges facing Israel are far from over. Speaking alongside President Isaac Herzog, Defense Minister Israel Katz, and IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, Netanyahu underscored Israel's preparedness for any scenario amid a changing regional reality.

Netanyahu praised the Israeli Air Force's recent operations, including "With the Lion" and "Roar of the Lion," which he credited with maintaining Israel's air superiority. He stated that without these precise and timely preemptive strikes, Iran would have acquired nuclear weapons aimed at Israel's destruction. He compared these operations to historic missions like Operation Focus, highlighting thousands of sorties that inflicted significant damage on Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile infrastructure.

Detailing the successes, Netanyahu said Israel thwarted 20 nuclear experts, eliminated senior leadership figures, and reduced Iran's military facilities to "dust and ashes," severely impacting the Revolutionary Guards' economy. He described Israeli air crews patrolling vast enemy territory, 75 times the size of Israel, targeting hostile operatives.

Despite these achievements, Netanyahu warned that the conflict is ongoing and new challenges are emerging. To address this, he announced a strategic initiative to develop a robust local arms industry under the "Blue and White" brand, aiming to significantly reduce Israel's reliance on foreign military procurement. He concluded that these efforts strengthen Israel's deterrence, defense, and capacity for preemptive action if necessary.
