Mother of Slain Israeli Soldier Urges Prioritizing Soldiers in Torah Study Law Debate

Einav, the mother of Uri Danino who was killed while held captive by Hamas, spoke at a Knesset committee hearing on the Basic Law for Torah Study. She urged lawmakers to prioritize soldiers in the legislation. Einav expressed her enduring pain from losing her son two years ago but credited the soldiers for rescuing him, saying, "They saved my child. They brought him back to me and carry him with them to this day. They are not invisible. Pull yourselves together. Prioritize them. I would not have gotten Uri back if it weren’t for them."
