Israeli Defense Minister Asserts Israel's Right to Stay in Lebanon Without Approval
Israel's Defense Minister stated that the country did not seek permission to enter Lebanon and does not require approval to remain there. He emphasized Israel's right and duty to protect the residents of the Galilee region from Hezbollah threats. According to him, Israel has established a strong security zone in Lebanon, extending from the sea in the west to the Beaufort area in the east, which is free of residents and terrorist infrastructure. The minister clarified that Israel will continue to maintain its presence in this security zone and operate from it until Hezbollah is disarmed and the threat to northern Israeli residents is eliminated.
