Erik Shtilman Exits Maccabi Tel Aviv Ownership After Just Six Weeks
Erik Shtilman has ended his brief tenure as part-owner of Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball club after only about a month and a half. Shtilman had acquired half of the shares held by Padenco Sport, which owned 29% of the club. However, it was announced on Tuesday that the Recanati family is purchasing the shares from the Federman family, effectively removing them from the club's ownership structure. As a result, Shtilman will no longer be involved in Maccabi Tel Aviv's ownership.
Responding to the developments on social media platform X, Shtilman stated, "I have always been a fan of Maccabi, and I will remain a fan of Maccabi. I wish the Recanati family much success. Yalla Maccabi." His departure marks a swift exit from the club's ownership after a very short period. The Recanati family's acquisition consolidates their control over the club, ending the involvement of the Federman family and their associates.
