17-Year-Old Israeli Saves Thousands to Independently Produce Debut Song

Eitan Cohen, a 17-year-old Israeli singer, saved 26,000 shekels to independently produce his first song, which was released last month and has already surpassed 200,000 plays on YouTube. In an interview with Channel 14's "Israel HaBoker," Cohen shared that his passion for music began at age four, imagining himself performing during family gatherings on Sabbaths and holidays. He emphasized his dedication to pursuing his musical dreams, stating, "I will do everything for this."

Cohen's song "Abba" (Father) carries a message of unity and peace among the people of Israel. He explained, "Dad, let's just be united, Dad, let's make peace among us children," highlighting the importance of togetherness, a theme close to his heart. Looking ahead, Cohen aims to release an album within about six months, having already written multiple songs. However, he acknowledged the financial challenges involved, noting, "It takes a lot of money."

Alongside his musical ambitions, Cohen is preparing for his upcoming mandatory service in the Israel Defense Forces, aspiring to serve in a combat role and ultimately reach the General Staff. When asked about balancing military service with his music career, he expressed confidence, saying, "I believe it will be good."
