Itamar Fleishman Rejects Supreme Court Authority, Vows Not to Obey Unlawful Rulings

During a broadcast of the program "The Patriots" on Channel 14, panelist Itamar Fleishman strongly opposed remarks made by Rino Tzur, who stated that one must bow to the decisions of the Supreme Court. Fleishman condemned this viewpoint as "fascist" and noted it was the first time such a term was used to describe a monologue aired on the military station Galei Tzahal since its founding in the 1950s.

Fleishman expressed a firm stance against the judiciary, particularly targeting Supreme Court Justice Itzhak Amit. He asserted his position as a citizen above the court, emphasizing that citizens are sovereign and judges serve them. He explicitly stated that he does not respect Justice Amit or his colleagues.

Further, Fleishman declared his refusal to comply with court rulings that contradict the law. He said, "I am a citizen, you serve me, and if you rule against the law, not only will I not kneel, I will not obey." His comments highlight a principled opposition to the authority of the Supreme Court when its decisions conflict with his interpretation of legality.
