Families of Fallen Soldiers Condemn Israeli Coalition for Cover-Up Vote on October 7 Massacre
Eyal Eshel, father of Ronni Eshel who was killed at the Nahal Oz outpost on October 7, accused the current Israeli coalition government of voting to cover up the massacre that occurred that day. He warned that a reckoning would come soon.
Rafi Ben Shitrit, a founding member of the "October Council" and father of Alroi Ben Shitrit, who also died in the battle at Nahal Oz on October 7, called the political cover-up committee a "badge of shame" on the government responsible for what he described as the worst massacre of Jews since Auschwitz.
Both men expressed deep anger and condemnation toward the government’s handling of the aftermath of the October 7 attack, emphasizing the gravity of the tragedy and the perceived failure of leadership to properly address it. Their statements highlight ongoing tensions and demands for accountability related to the events at Nahal Oz and the broader October 7 massacre.
