Hundreds of Hasidic Communities Celebrate Shimon Goldberg’s Son’s Wedding in Beit Shemesh
Last weekend in Beit Shemesh, dozens of Hasidic communities gathered for a central Sheva Brachot celebration marking the wedding of Shimon Goldberg’s son. Goldberg is the head of the Hasidic faction and deputy mayor of Beit Shemesh. The event was organized by local holy communities as a heartfelt expression of unity and gratitude for Goldberg’s ongoing public service to the Hasidic population.
The celebration was attended by prominent Hasidic rebbes and rabbis from the city, including the Vizhnitz Rebbe, Rabbi Mintsberg of the "Metidim" community, the Radoshitz and Miahilovitch rebbes, as well as senior rabbis from neighborhoods such as Hafetziba and Ramat Avraham. Representatives from Chabad and other Hasidic sects were also present, alongside leading public figures like MK Meir Porush, Beit Shemesh Mayor Shmuel Greenberg, Deputy Mayors Atzik Almaliach and Yitzhak Meir Barim from Jerusalem, Haifa City Council member Avraham Stern, and others.
A highlight of the event was a special tribute display at the entrance, featuring an elaborate bar and large decorations. This tribute was created by approximately 100 holy communities, synagogues, and educational institutions from the Hasidic public in Beit Shemesh to honor the Goldberg family. The gathering underscored the strong communal bonds and appreciation for Goldberg’s leadership within the city’s Hasidic sector.
The wedding celebration was widely documented, capturing the joyous atmosphere and the broad participation of religious and civic leaders alike.
