13-Year-Old Boy Dies After Electric Bike Accident in Baka al-Gharbiyye
Abed Said Watar, a 13-year-old boy from Jatt, died Monday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle while riding an electric bicycle in Baka al-Gharbiyye, in the Sharon region. Emergency medical teams performed resuscitation efforts at the scene and transported him to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera, where doctors declared his death. The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
The incident was reported at 13:16 to Magen David Adom's 101 emergency center in the Sharon district. Paramedic Nur Jamal described arriving to find the boy unconscious, without pulse or breathing, and suffering from multiple injuries. Resuscitation efforts included chest compressions, ventilation, and medication administration during transport to the hospital.
Traffic accident investigators from the Manasseh district are currently examining the scene to determine the cause of the collision. The electric bicycle and helmet were found beneath the vehicle involved in the crash. The police continue to investigate the incident.
