Dario Saric Praises Israeli Team and Hopes For NBA Star Deni Avdija's Championship Win

After a decade in the NBA, Croatian forward Dario Saric has returned to the EuroLeague with Anadolu Efes this summer. Before resuming play with the Turkish club, Saric is representing Croatia in the World Cup qualifiers and will face Israel on Monday evening. In an interview with Sport Channel, Saric described Israel as a very good team despite missing some players. He highlighted Yam Madar as a wonderful young player who has competed in the EuroLeague recently. Saric emphasized that the match will be tough and sees both teams as having an equal chance to win.

Saric noted Israel's recent strong performance against Germany, acknowledging the importance of the upcoming game for both sides. Regarding Israeli NBA player Deni Avdija, Saric praised his outstanding season with the Portland Trail Blazers, calling him an All-Star caliber player and the team’s leader. He expressed hope that Portland will continue to build around Avdija and keep him as their central player. Saric also wished Avdija a future championship, stating that he truly deserves it.
