IDF Air Force Conducts Training Ahead of Pilot Graduation Ceremony in Southern Israel

The IDF Spokesperson announced that Air Force training exercises will take place from Monday through Thursday over Beersheba and the western Negev. These drills are routine and will involve increased aircraft activity in the area, with no security threat expected. The exercises prepare for the upcoming pilot graduation ceremony scheduled for Thursday, which will be attended by President Isaac Herzog, Defense Minister Israel Katz, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, and Air Force Commander Major General Omer Tishler.

The graduates of Flight Course 192 began their training just months before the October 7 terror attacks and completed it during an ongoing war. Their training was continuously adapted to the evolving operational environment, incorporating real-time combat lessons. During the ceremony, the new pilots will receive their wings and officer ranks, officially joining the Air Force's operational teams to participate in Israel's defense and offensive missions.

The IDF emphasized the significance of this graduation, highlighting the resilience and dedication of the new pilots trained amidst intense operational demands. Separately, the police issued an unusual alert to residents in northern Israel, indicating heightened security concerns in that region.
