U.S. Sanctions Targets in China and Hong Kong for Helping Iran Buy Weapons

The United States announced sanctions against 11 individuals and entities, including several based in China and Hong Kong, for supporting weapons purchases by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and the Iranian military.

Nine of the designated individuals are residents of China and Hong Kong, along with companies that helped procure weapons for Iran’s military, and a Hong Kong-based company that operated within Iran’s secret banking network.
