Hadash Leader Criticizes Police Over Rising Violence in Arab Communities

Jaafar Farah, the second-in-command of the Hadash party and director of the Musaau Center for Arab Citizens' Rights, spoke to ynet about the escalating violence in Arab society following the overnight murders of two individuals in Dir Hana and Umm al-Fahm. Farah sharply criticized the police leadership, stating that the police commissioner is failing in his duties along with regional commanders. He warned that if the current pace continues, the death toll could reach 300 this year. Farah also questioned the delays in police response to crime scenes and highlighted the issue of weapons smuggled from the Israel Defense Forces, noting that the IDF Chief of Staff does not inquire about the source of these arms.
