Finance Committee Chair Condemns Attorney General Over Tax Sanctions on Yeshivas with Draft Evaders

Hanoch Milwiczky, chairman of the Knesset Finance Committee, sharply criticized Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara following the Israeli Tax Authority's decision to revoke tax benefits for donations to yeshivas attended by individuals avoiding IDF service. The tax authority informed these yeshivas that they would no longer be eligible for tax deductions on donations due to the presence of draft evaders among their students. Milwiczky accused the Attorney General of conducting a targeted campaign against Torah students, aiming to discourage their political participation and harm their community. He described Baharav-Miara as a "cursed woman" and a "terrible woman," warning that she will be held accountable for her actions.
