Yuli Edelstein Officially Quits Likud, Announces New Political Path

Knesset member Yuli Edelstein has officially announced his departure from the Likud party after more than 20 years. He declared on the social media platform X that he will not run in the upcoming Likud primaries for the next Knesset and intends to embark on a new political journey. Edelstein expressed a heartfelt but resolute farewell to the party that had been his political home for two decades.

In his statement, Edelstein emphasized his vision for a broad government representing the majority, stating it would be "without boycotts, without yielding to extremists, without relying on Arabs, and without giving a blank check to the ultra-Orthodox." He called for a government that reflects the 80% of the population that agrees on key issues. Edelstein indicated that he and his supporters will soon begin this new political path together.
