Gil Dikman Criticizes Netanyahu, Contrasts Brother Yoni's Sacrifice with Current Hostage Crisis
Gil Dikman, cousin of Carmel Gat who was killed in captivity, spoke at a rally in Tel Aviv's Bialik Square calling for the establishment of a state inquiry committee. In his speech, Dikman sharply criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling him "the father of abandonment" and accusing him of making disconnected statements. Dikman referenced Netanyahu's recent claim that he "returned all the hostages who went to war," challenging the prime minister by recalling the heroic actions of his brother, Yoni Netanyahu, who died 50 years ago during the Entebbe rescue mission. Dikman said, "Yoni gave his life to save hostages. Benjamin gave the hostages' lives to save himself." The rally highlighted public frustration over the government's handling of the current hostage situation and demanded accountability through a formal investigation.
