Iran Appoints New Revolutionary Guards Navy Commander Three Months After Predecessor's Assassination

Approximately three months after the assassination of Ali Reza Tangsiri, the former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy, Iranian media reported the appointment of Ali Ozmaei as the new commander. Ozmaei previously served as the commander of the IRGC Navy's Fifth District. On his X (formerly Twitter) account, Ozmaei declared that "divine revenge against America and Israel is not far away," signaling a continuation of the IRGC's hostile stance toward these countries.
